The Internet – Enemy or Friend

The Internet is really popular nowadays. There are lot of people from America, Europe, Asia, Australia and even Africa, who use it. Lot of poeple can not imagine world without the Internet connection. It helps us to gather more and more information. But everything that is good also has the other side. The Internet can be very dangerous, too.

Firstly, the Internet started a lot of years ago, but only for state or business. Then it became more and more available for common people. Believe it or not, the Internet was free in the beginning. Later it became a great business for companies which provided it. You can do lot of things with it. You can chat with friends all over the world, what is cheaper than sending messages from mobile phone. You can pay with your bank account through it. You can play games with your friends, or even have video conversation with them! There is much more you can do with it, or you will probably do in the future!

But as I said before, everything good can be bad in the other way. The Internet has dangerous things – viruses. They are made for collecting information from computers they infect. Infected computer can be saved by antivirus programme, but nowadays some of them are hidden really deep in computers. Viruses steal information like bank account numbers, e-mails, or damage your computer really badly. But there are also real enemies on the Internet – people. You do not know who you are chatting with if you find someone you have not seen before. People must choose carefully who believe to. If someone trust to the wrong person that has evil plans, it can be really dangerous. That happens to lot of children, so I think parents should inform them about these situations and dangerous sides of the Internet.

In my opinion, the Internet is a very useful tool nowadays. But people must be very careful when using it, because i tis like fire – useful, but dangerous.

The Internet - Friend or Enemy

Today´s world is a world we can´t even imagine without modern Technologies. Technologies where the Internet is the leader. Some people say, if you aren´t online, you don´t exist. Is that true? Let´s explain it.

The Internet can be very helpful. It helps million of people communicate to distance, do online shopping, pay for services and people can also try e-learning. We can find plenty of useful information there.

The newest trend of the Internet is a social website called Facebook, which helps connect people. It´s very interesting – you can chat with friends, play games or add photos. There are also many groups where you can find funny pictures, or awesome facts, for example about popular people.

But the Internet isn´t only fun. It can also be a nightmare for some users. There is a plenty of „sick“ users there. These users can be very unfriendly, they abuse the normal people – online, by writing stupid things. Always be careful about things you share on the Internet. One does not simply know who will see him, or who is stalking him.

The second thing why the Internet could be a foe, is very simple. A lot of people are addicted to it. They could sit behind the computer the whole day, without even realising it. They don´t realise that this lifestyle is bad, and they don´t want. Chlidren start to argue with parents, and they even forget about their real life friends. They only sit behind the keyboard and get fat, what can be dangerous for their health.

So this is my opinion. The Internet is a very good and useful thing, bit if we don´t take care about how much time we spend there, it could be very dangerous.
